A good complete fertilizer is required twice a year in the spring and fall. All other fertilizer applications may be made with Higher Nitrogen. During the late spring, winter and fall months you should be fertilizing every 4 to 6 weeks with ½ to 1 pound of actual Nitrogen applied per 1000 square feet. Do not fertilize during the hot summer months (July & Aug) if needed cut fertilizing rates in half.

MOWING:

Enduro Dwarf Tall Fescue should be mowed regularly every 5 to 7 days with a rotary mower. Set mowing height to cut at 2” to 2 ½” Never mow more than one-third of the top growth at any mowing.

WATERING:

Newly planted sod should be watered daily for the first 10 days to avoid drying out and to enable the rooting system to penetrate the new soil. Once sod has been established, watering frequency may be reduced. Do to varying soil and climate conditions, it is difficult to recommend a watering schedule. After lawn is establish, Deep Soaking the lawn 2 to 3 times a week generally is adequate in most hot summer weather situations. Water in early morning hours only (Between 2am & 8am) if possible.
